When I was still a student my boyfriend graduated college and took a job as a teacher. His work was going to take him hundreds of miles from home so he needed to furnish his first apartment. He had little money to spare and most of his furniture was handed down from his pare notch. I wanted him to take a little memento of our time together and on a students budget I knew I would have to get creative. I went to the discount store and bought two white plastic parsons tables. I took ticket stubs photographs and brochures from outings we took together and artfully arranged them on the top and legs of each table.
While homes seem to be larger than ever many homeowners are in the process of downsizing these days either because of economic circumstances or simply a desire to live a simpler life. Just because you live in a smaller dwelling does not mean that you have to give up the comforts of home you have become so used to. Rather you may simply need to change some of the furnishings keeping your favorites and then balancing them with smaller support pieces. Perhaps no example is better than the use of small end tables.
Perfect for holding your drink providing space for a lamp or to display your favorite knick knacks the end table is a classic piece of furniture that should be included in any home. Selecting the ideal end table is as easy as getting that drink of water with many styles and colors from which to choose. With so many options you may want to consider the following tips before you begin shopping: What is your decorating style? Look around at your existing furniture. Is wood the main material or do you favor glass and chrome? Maybe wrought iron is more your style.
If you are looking for additional surface area in your home or if you want to accentuate your lighting or add to your decor an end table is what you need. End-tables are an ideal choice as they have myriad uses in addition to being visually appealing. They can be used in various locations such as in the living room beside a chair or sofa where they offer a guest room to place a glass or give you a place to keep the TV remote. In the bedroom end tables placed beside your bed offer you viable space to keep your spectacles through the night or to put a lamp within arms reach.
