Have you ever wanted to bring a more natural look into the decor in your home? A stone table can be a beautiful addition that adds a touch of warmth to the room. So take a step back in time and get a modern look. Stones have been used since the earliest stage of mans development. Before stones were used as weapons to hunt for food. Since the Stone Age until today stones have always been part of mans everyday life. Aside from that it is also believed that stones contain certain energies to heal a persons sickness and repel negative energies but the metaphysical properties of stones does not limit from the latter.
While the coffee table may seem like it has always been a part of home decor they actually did not come into use in the American home until the 1920s. While coffee lovers in England was active in coming up with furniture pieces to facilitate a coffee shop type atmosphere their solution was a table that still stood at about 27 inches tall. The much shorter coffee table height of 18-20 inches which has now become standard came into play when the prohibition of the 1920s changed the focus of the home entertainment scene.
